Collection: Contact Cold Level 2 Gloves (EN 511)

It's the second digit of the EN 511 code, covering insulation when you touch or hold a cold object. Level 2 is on a scale of 0 to 4, where 4 gives the most insulation.

Regular handling of chilled goods, cold store and freezer picking, and winter outdoor work touching cold tools or metal.

Contact cold (the second digit) covers heat lost through touching cold things. Convective cold (the first digit) covers heat lost to cold air. A glove can score differently on each.

Thermal acrylic, brushed or fleece linings under a nitrile or latex coating are common. Fully coated styles add water resistance for wet, chilled work.
