Collection: Contact Cold Level 1 Gloves (EN 511)

It's the second digit of the EN 511 code, covering insulation when you touch or hold a cold object. Level 1 is on a scale of 0 to 4, where 4 gives the most insulation.

Short handling of chilled items, light cold store work and outdoor tasks in cool conditions.

For short visits, maybe, but for regular freezer work or handling frozen goods choose level 2 or higher. Level 1 is the lowest tested contact cold insulation.

Check the third EN 511 digit. A 1 means water didn't get through in the 30-minute test. A 0 means it did, and wet gloves lose much of their insulation.
